Toronto based Egale Canada Human Rights Trust is looking to fill a new position in their organization – Two-Spirit Projects Coordinator & Facilitator. With this job posting, Egale acknowledges the unique history and experience of the Two-Spirit community and how the current non-Native LGBT framework, discussions and work is inadequate when it comes to working and engaging with the Two-Spirit community.
Founded in 1995, Egale is Canada’s only national charity promoting lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) human rights through research, education and community engagement. Egale’s vision is a Canada, and ultimately a world, free of homophobia, biphobia, transphobia and all other forms of discrimination so that every person can achieve their full potential, unencumbered by hatred and bias.
The Two-Spirit Projects Coordinator & Facilitator will report to the Director of Programs & Services Department. This department promotes and fosters the human rights and equitable inclusion of LGBTQI2S people in community, schools, and work through education, consultation, community engagement, training and resource development.
The full time position will be a 12 month contract with a possibility of extension at the end of the contact. The salary range is $36,000 – $40,000.
